The crane and heavy transport service provider, which is active throughout Germany and Europe, is now putting eight more new vehicles in striking green into operation.
For transporting crane weights and crane parts, HKV opted for two compact 4-axle versions of the CargoMAX ballast trailer with air suspension and two 6-axle flatbeds from the same product family in a hydraulically forced steering version.
A total of four MultiMAXs complete the flexible solution for the semi sector. Three 4-axle semi low loaders are hydraulically force-steered, air-suspended, and with a loading platform that can be extended from 8,800 mm to 15,000 mm.
A 6-axle semi-trailer for a LR1500 crawler crane
A 6-axle semi low loader with Twin Axle II independent suspension was also configured specifically for transporting HKV's own LR1500 crawler crane. With this axle variant, the MultiMAX ensures a minimum loading height of 780 mm and an axle load of 12 tons.
The hydraulic knuckle-steering axles ensure high manoeuvrability, allowing angled construction site access roads to be mastered. The hydraulic compensation of the gooseneck enables lifting and lowering even in the front area of the loading platform.
This allows lowering by the last critical millimetres, especially for underpasses. HKV Schmitz + Partner GmbH will be putting these eight powerful new vehicles into service immediately.
