Rostock-Trans GmbH is a popular partner for the transport of wind turbine components. For this demanding project, the company from northern Germany placed its trust in a new 3+5 VarioMAX low bed semi-trailer from Faymonville.
The vehicle is characterised by its hydraulically widenable vessel deck. This technology allows maximum load width flexibility so that tower segments can be transported at the optimum height, depending on their diameter.
The vessel deck can be continuously adjusted from the basic width of 2,990 mm up to 4,690 mm to suit the freight. In addition, the low bed semi-trailer is telescopically extendable in length.
The combination of length and width flexibility is a decisive advantage in the transport of tower segments of all types.
