EDF relies on its new CombiMAX heavy-duty modules

The 10 new axle lines are composed of 4 modules and completed by an extra-low flatbed deck.

In the construction of the energy future, EDF plays a key role in France.

This involves equipping power stations and in this aspect, their EDF SETRAL division, as the group's heavy transport specialist, has opted for the versatility of a new modular CombiMAX combination from Faymonville.

The 10 axle lines are made up of 4 modules (2+2+3+3). This offers multiple configuration solutions from a 4+6 low loader to the possibility of coupling the gooseneck directly to the bogies.

This modular trailer enables them to meet the new legal constraints on French roads. EDF SETRAL plans to use the vehicle to transport transformers with a payload versatility of between 50 and 120 tonnes.

The CombiMAX is the perfect tool for EDF SETRAL to transport more easily loads throughout France and to all places with height-related access constraints that were previously inaccessible to them with their existing equipment.

The CombiMAX's FBX flatbed deck with a steel surface over the entire width and a construction height of 275 mm is the ideal solution for the transport and lateral unloading of transformers. The reinforced loading surface allows maximum point loads.

Thank you to the EDF team for the trust and many successful projects with this versatile vehicle!
