Stretch single-drop trailer in action for G & G Specialized Carrier

One of the first jobs with the 3+3 axle MultiMAX single-drop trailer was the transport of an industrial freight with a weight of 124,000 lbs.

US customer G & G Specialized Carrier from Muskego, Wisconsin is a freight and trucking company equipped to handle any haul large or small.

To face these flexible tasks, they relies on Faymonville quality and technology and strengthen their fleet with a new 3+3 axle MultiMAX single-drop trailer.

One of the first jobs was the transport of this freight. The turbine shaft was loaded in a 12 inch snow storm, with 40 mph winds. Challenges – below zero temperatures, the route was challenging due to the snow, cars parked on both sides of the road stuck in snow, tight corners.

Robbie Swan from G&G Specialized Carriers: “If I did not have my Faymonville single-drop trailer, this trip would have been a flop.” It was off-loaded in the port of Milwaukee from a train car, rigged with a lattice boom Manitowoc crane. It weighed 147,400 lbs, gross weight was 231,000 lbs. Trip route was 103 miles of pure hell ice, blowing snow and high winds  - along with cars parked stalled cars.

The low loader offers great versatility thanks to a combination of payload capacity, maneuverability, low mobilization cost and a double stretch, allowing flexible spacings between the axle tridems and a total deck length up to 77’.

The vehicle complies with DOT requirements and its fully galvanized frame ensures the best corrosion protection available in the market.
