A set of three WingMAX telescopic trailers for XXL wind blade transport has been delivered to TH. Giannakos Cranes and Special Transportation in Greece. An expert from our team was on site in Karditsa to provide in-depth training and explain all functionalities of the WingMAX solution.
With its extendable length of around 70 meters, the WingMAX is engineered to handle the world’s longest rotor blades. The hydraulic lifting and lowering system of the gooseneck and axles ensures ideal versatility to either clear low bridges or overcome road obstacles such as roundabouts, guardrails, etc.
The pendle-axle technology guarantees maximum maneuverability on narrow or winding roads thanks to their high steering angle. Robust construction and precise control functions make the trailer ideally suited for demanding wind energy logistics.
Given the importance of renewable energies in Greece, and wind power in particular, Giannakos strengthens its fleet with state-of-the-art equipment to meet the demands of tomorrow’s energy transition.
The WingMAX is now a reliable key asset in supporting the country’s expansion of wind energy infrastructure and we look forward to seeing some first photos in action soon.
