Since then, the family owned company with its distinctive yellow-blue fleet has continued to develop. The 25 employees and their fleet move loads from the forestry sector to the heavy and construction machinery transport. For these particularly challenging tasks Wittwer now relies on a new 3+5 VarioMAX lowbed trailer from Faymonville.
The telescopic lowbed (6700mm + 3500mm) with external beams is placed between the chassis in 2850mm basic width. The 19.5" pendle-axles are ideal for manoeuvring the vehicle in twisting passages and on twisting track profiles.
The stroke of 600mm and the 60° steering angle are real plus points for the Swiss terrain. The design of the 3+5 combination is extremely compact, which has a positive effect on the overall train length. And excavator trough with a width of 900mm can integrate even the largest excavator arms without any problems.
