TGO goes for a ModulMAX SP-E

The twin tyre modules are provided with an electronically controlled steering system.

The French company TGO (Terminal du Grand Ouest) was created in June 2011 and manages all the calls of container vessels in the Port of Nantes-Saint-Nazaire.

For heavy-weight cargo moves on the 58 hectares area, the experts receives now a 6-axle ModulMAX SP-E self-propelled vehicle with a 186 kW Power Pack Unit.

The twin tyre modules are provided with an electronically controlled steering system offering a steering angle up to +/- 140° with a low running height. A well-known solution that relies on proven technology by Cometto.

The functioning is intuitive and user-friendly based on a compact remote control. The ModulMAX enables the TGO operators to work with the electronically steered self-propelled transporter even in tightest areas.

A cabin protects the operator against difficult outside conditions so that he can steer with concentration over the harbour area.

The project has been handled by our French partner SNM Heavy Handling. Thank you to their team and the TGO specialists, we are looking forward to seeing the ModulMAX SP-E in action.
