The combination of a 2-axle bogie and 8-axle loading platform has been purpose-designed for these demanding operations. The front bogie is equipped with two PA-X pendle axles, providing a minimum loading height of just 790 mm, a 600 mm stroke, and a 60° steering angle for outstanding manoeuvrability of the truck–trailer combination.
The extendable 8-axle loading platform features a base length of 14.6 metres and cranked axles, the ideal solution for transporting long trams, wagons or metro cars. With this feature, the loading height is reduced to 740 mm.
Several 6-metre-long extension beams can be added or removed without the need for cranes or forklifts, thanks to smart handling devices. A hydraulic counter-steering system ensures perfect synchronisation between the pendle-axle and cranked-axle sections – even in extended mode.
For railway transport, the platform is fitted with bolted and movable rails and a Faymonville-designed rail ramp with a minimal gradient of just 2°. Hook-in rails and sliding tables allow flexible adaptation to different vehicle lengths, and the ramp itself can serve as a loading platform with a 20-tonne capacity.
