KSK has a new low-bed semitrailer

In order to solve the most difficult transport tasks in daily work, Kies und Sand Köchstedt GmbH places its trust in low-bed semitrailers from Faymonville.

The first 2+4 combination with excavator deck was added to the vehicle fleet in 2013. At the start of this year, the company took delivery of a new vehicle.

Once again a 2+4, but this time in the variant with a vessel deck. Its low loading height of just 450 mm (with a ground clearance of 150 mm) is ideal for high loads.

With this new VarioMAX, KSK has considerably expanded its range of services and increased its flexibility, resulting in new orders. The low bed semi-trailer has a removable loading floor and can be telescopically extended by a further 5,000 mm from its basic length of 8,000 mm.

This allows high industrial tanks and vessels to be transported with an optimised loading height. A bolt coupling on the rear bogie leaves the option open to install elongation beams.

Proven pendle axle technology for every terrain

The low dead weight of the low-bed semitrailer in combination with an 8x4 tractor unit provides a legal payload in Germany of 66 tonnes. The 17.5" pendle axles are ideal for optimum movement on difficult building sites.

This proven chassis technology impresses with its 600 mm stroke and 60° steering angle. Numerous lashing points ensure maximum load security.

In addition, the combination is of course completely metallised, which ensures a long service life even under the harshest conditions. The KSK drivers had already been shown the simple operation during the associated training.

We thank KSK for their repeated trust and wish them lots of luck with the new trailer in action.
