New for agriculture

New developments are moving into in all industries. Reacting to them and offering technical solutions is one of the strengths of the Faymonville Group.

A newly developed 2-axle low bed semi-trailer has now been added to the range for transport tasks in agriculture.

"The loading platform of the MegaMAX is hydraulically adaptable. When retracted it is just 1,600 mm wide and it can be infinitely adjusted in width up to 3,650 mm. We thus offer a high degree of flexibility when it comes to the load width", says product manager Rainer Noe of the advantages for the agricultural sector. "Agricultural machines of all kinds with a dead weight of up to 33 t can thus be loaded."

Without removing the crawler drive

In one of the first missions of this 2-axle variant the French customer Translyre transported a combine harvester with crawler drive. This traction method reduces the ground pressure on soft and boggy surfaces, enabling harvesting even under difficult conditions.

The machine with a basic width of 3,500 mm was transported on the flexible and extendable low bed without removing the crawler drive. A great deal of conversion work was thus saved and the machine was quickly ready for its next assignment.

Great driving behaviour on field paths

The new 2-axle low bed also has receptacles for widening planks between the outer beams. This creates a support surface for the support foot of self-loading trailers or liquid manure tanks.

The pendle axle technology brings along further advantages. Thanks to a stroke of 600 mm, uneven surfaces in alleys or access roads are easy to overcome. The steering angle of 60° helps when manoeuvring in tight areas, such as in farmyards or on labyrinthine field paths
