# The wheel recesses

Wheel recesses between the axles are the ideal aid for reducing the loading height when transporting high wheeled machines.

Yet not all wheel recesses are the same!

At Faymonville, the design engineers pay attention to the details. As a result, not only are the **wheel recess covers** lightweight and highly durable, but they can also be windened.

Depending on the vehicle design, the wheel recess can be **up to 410 millimeters deep**.

Vehicles with a low ground clearance, such as two-way excavators, sometimes need an **intermediate height**, however.

The MultiMAX range also provides the right solution in these cases.

And another small, but important detail by the way: all aluminium elements are equipped with an anti-theft device.
