# Orllati with a LR44 drilling machine on its 4+5 lowbed combination

The company has opted for two variable 'Joker' axles for a flexible use.

The **Orllati Group**, with more than 850 employees, is one of the major players in the construction industry in French-speaking Switzerland, particularly in the cantons of Vaud and Geneva.

To transport its **heavy construction machines**, the company has reinforced its equipment with a **modular low-loader combination** of the [VarioMAX Plus](/products/lowbed-trailer/variomax-plus/) range from Faymonville. Its strengths are its high payload capacity, its modular versatility and its easy handling.

In addition to a 5-axle and a 3-axle bogie, Orlatti has opted for **two variable "Joker" axles** that can be installed not only between the gooseneck and the front bogie, but also between the lowbed and the rear bogie.

This unique principle creates **maximum flexibility** if the load weight or permissible axle loads recommend it.

For the transport of a **LR44 drilling machine** from the Liebherr production site in Austria to the Orllati site, the Swiss specialists added a Joker axle to create a 4+5 combination.

The transport went off without a hitch and the VarioMAX Plus with excavator deck was convincing as a new heavy-duty vehicle in the Orllati fleet.
